![]() I had to tell the host at the front, but she didn't seem to understand even after he told her. ![]() I tried to explain to her that it wasn't what I ordered but as she spoke no English, she didn't understand what I was telling her. Unfortunately, the order from the last person who sat at my table hadn't been erased, so the waitress thought I ordered what they had ordered. This is one of those places where you have to scan a code to get the menu on your phone and place your order on your phone, which seems to a popular thing in Seattle. kind of nasty and the restaurant wasn't very clean in general, so they could definitely work on cleanliness and making customers feel safe to eat there. I appreciate that there are dividers between tables, but I saw a waitress with no mask on while carrying food and the restroom was. The front of the restaurant was boarded up as if they're remodeling, so I didn't even know if it was open. All the dishes were hearty and tasty More We ordered spareribs with black bean sauce, bean curd roll, beef rice roll, chicken feet, combo chow mein, chow mei fun and fried taro. ![]() The food was hearty for dim sum and delicious. We tried to order through the QR code but I was having trouble with the app so we waved down a server to order. It looks like a hodge podge of old versus remodeled rooms. We waited for a few minutes and then were led through a maze inside way in the back of the restaurant. Hubby dropped us off so we went inside to get a table. But people were going in and out of the place. From the outside, it looks like a war zone with wooden boards nailed on the windows. ![]() We were looking for a place to have some dim sum and found this place in Chinatown. This is our second visit here, one in November, 2021 and just this month and we enjoyed the dim sum here, but it is a limited menu and the outside of the building looks like a war zone, all boarded up. I would recommend Jade Garden & would definitely go back if/when I visit again. I wanted lobster but they only had 4+ lbs and nobody else wanted crab. The other hit was actually the green beans. The Siu Mai were our favorite and they were the largest we have ever had. The Dim Sum was so good we ended up order more dumplings. They took our drink order and proceeded to bring us hot tea along with water.Īfter ordering, the food came out relatively quickly. We got lucky and arrived when it wasn't too crowded so we were seated right away. This was a different experience for me as it was the first time I had to order from a QR code on our table. First this place is still all boarded up on the outside & second, from a guy who grew up eating in NY Chinatown, our dinner was very good 4.5 stars. My message, don't judge the book by it's cover. However, I ended up being really glad I selected Jade. I researched a bunch of restaurants and after reading mixed reviews I was even more confused. We were downtown Seattle during our visit and wanted to have some Dim Sum plus Chinese food for dinner.
